Colorado 2011 -2-

Drafted two routes so far--Dillon to Aspen (175 mi, 2/3 off-road) and Aspen to Silverton (165 mi, 1/2 off-road.) These use many of the trails located in the CO Trails books and can of course be adjusted.

  8. Just inquiring: What would happen if we moved the trip to end of June?

  9. Fine with me--the longer time between the trip and the end of September the better!

But...there will be snow in the high passes most likely

...and then there's the Spaniard factor.

If we move it sooner, I'd say it should still be in July for average snow conditions. I'm not sure what this winter left in the mtns.

    Sooo.
Dates are set. July 15-24th. Depart Friday eve, drive through and be brapping by ~noon Sat.

Looks like it's KHK, Spaniard and myself. Do we even need a trailer? Could we make it with 3 bikes and gear without? It'd be a lot sweeter if we did.

Could probably put a thread in the Rockies sub-forum on ADVrider about a place to park a truck/trailer if needed.

Ordered some parts for the Katoom. I heard Spaniard's got a real gas tank for the Yammie sitting in the living room. Probably no needs on the '07?
